Job Description

• Responsible for organizing, training, and leading daily activities of a manufacturing team consisting of production operators.
• Lead the production team's daily start-up meeting, ergonomic work, and establishes job rotation.
• Conducts on-the-job training and maintains required training documentation for all employees assigned to the work cells.
• Guides the team in the development and use of standard work instructions.
• Performs first response troubleshooting and minor first line maintenance activities during production line down.
• Ensures team achieves daily 5S+1, quality, delivery, Kaizen, and cost goals.
• Makes recommendations for individual recognition for goal achievement and contributions.
• Employs various problem-solving techniques (5 Why, etc.) to drive problems to permanent corrective action.
• Drives Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement within the work cells.
• Ensures individual and team compliance to established policies and procedures.
• Leads the team in completion of required preventative maintenance activities.
• Performs cell audits and inspections and follows-up on abnormalities; charts/tracks team progress.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of a Manufacturing Associate operator as required.

Full-Time (4 days working, 4 days off)

Night Shift: 9:30pm-8:00am

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience managing a learning environment, trainees, and instructional workflow.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to improve inefficiencies in the production line/area.
  • Ability to effectively communicates with team members and leadership through strong, clear, written and verbal communication skills; includes ability to speak in front of a group.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years' training experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience identifying training requirements.
  • Experience designing improvements to the work environment.
  • Experience utilizing continuous improvement measures.
  • Experience managing training records.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing shop floor environment
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (10+ hour shifts) and move between training locations, production lines, and workstations
