Position Overview:

The Communications Specialist plays a vital role on the Marketing and Communications team at T Bar M Camps & Retreats. This position focuses on developing and managing content for email campaigns and other communications, specifically targeting camp parents. Key responsibilities include supporting summer camp communications, managing the T Bar M app, and maintaining website content. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who can convey detailed information clearly and concisely while maintaining the T Bar M voice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop engaging email content for various audiences, including campers, families, retreat groups, alumni, and donors, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee summer camp communications to ensure timely, accurate messaging for campers, families, and staff.
  • Support the Marketing Specialist in driving camp registration through effective copywriting for campaigns and advertisements.
  • Manage communications across platforms such as Circui Tree, Keap, and Bunk1 to ensure consistent and impactful messaging.
  • Maintain and update website content to reflect current programs, events, and organizational priorities.
  • Assist camp families and staff in navigating our app during the summer to create a positive customer experience.
Qualifications Qualifications
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and CRM systems such as Circui Tree, Keap, and Bunk1 helpful.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Skilled in tailoring content for specific audiences while maintaining brand voice and integrity.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Passion for working in a mission-driven organization that supports the growth of campers, families, and the broader community.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM software such as Circui Tree and Keap is advantageous.
Compensation:

Compensation for the role will be competitive with the market for similar roles and responsibilities. T Bar M has a competitive insurance and benefits package that accompanies this position.
