Position: Retail Sales Associate - Part Time - 2115

Part‑Time Retail Sales Associate – $12.95 to $15.95 per hour. Earn up to 8% commission on transactions, averaging an additional $1.00 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Part‑Time position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay will vary by location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Makes the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
  • Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles cash and negotiable items following established procedures.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully completes assigned training.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Ability to work with firearms and be firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work with people and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Must have flexibility to work a retail schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. More details will be provided during the interview process.
