About the Role
At GVTC, we’re expanding our Business Sales team and looking for consultative sales professionals who thrive on helping organizations find smarter ways to connect, communicate, and grow. As a Business Solutions Advisor, you’ll own an assigned portfolio of business accounts and have the autonomy to grow it.

Why This Role MattersYou’ll work directly with business owners and decision-makers, recommending fiber internet, voice, mobile, managed services, and business security solutions that support their goals today while preparing them for tomorrow.
This is a true consultative sales role where success is measured by customer growth, retention, and trusted partnerships—not call volume.
What You’ll Do- Build and manage your own book of business
- Develop long‑term relationships with small and mid‑size businesses
- Prospect and acquire new customers throughout your assigned territory
- Grow existing accounts through technology upgrades and additional services
- Recommend fiber internet, voice, mobile, business security, and managed technology solutions
- Conduct on‑site meetings, business consultations, and product presentations
- Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close new business opportunities
- Partner with internal engineering, customer support, and implementation teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Represent GVTC at local networking events, chamber meetings, and community organizations
You’re naturally curious, enjoy learning how businesses operate before recommending solutions, build trust quickly, and understand that the best sales relationships are built over time—not through pressure.
You enjoy prospecting, networking, and developing long‑term partnerships while taking ownership of your results.
What We’re Looking For- 2+ years of B2B sales experience
- Experience selling technology, telecommunications, SaaS, managed services, IT solutions, or business services preferred
- Experience managing a territory or book of business
- Strong consultative selling and relationship‑building skills
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication abilities
- Self‑motivated with a passion for exceeding goals
- Valid Texas driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout your assigned territory
