Technician I
The Technician I position is a hands-on role that will work closely with other Installation Technicians on a variety of field service functions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:• Installation of various RF components, such as coax, connectors, grounding, weatherproofing, cable supports, alarming, splitters, fiber optic cable, CAT6 cable, and other components.
• Assist with Sweep, PIM, and Fiber testing if requested by senior technician.
• Assist with troubleshooting new and existing In-Building DAS systems to identify failures or configuration issues and correct as needed. Communicating and coordinating with upper-level technicians and management related to specific safety, local codes, and company installation requirements.
Physical and Mental Requirements:• Regular on-time attendance is mandatory.
• Ability to work flexible hours, depending on customer requirements.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment Drug Screen and random Drug Testing
• Must be able to pass security background check requirements for local and state government agencies.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Should possess a valid U.S. Driver's License with clean driving record (employment contingent on MVR check) and have reliable transportation.
• Always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per company and customer requirements.
• Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop, and implement project process improvement(s).
• Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, and customers.
• Must be able to work at heights, off a ladder, lifts, and in confined spaces. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print, and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
• Must be able to travel within 75% to 100% inside and outside the branch territory as needed.
Education, Skills, &Certifications:
• High School diploma or GED equivalency. Must be able to follow OSHA standards (OSHA 10 preferred) First Aid & CPR certifications preferred Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, Teams, and Power Point. Demonstrated ability to work in a professional manner at all job sites. Ability to think analytically and to solve complex problems. Should have cellular phone with appropriate data plan.
