Position: Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Internship

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) Intern

This position is part of the Summer Internship Program, starting June 3rd 2026 and ending August 21st 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day health, safety, and environmental activities under the supervision of HSE staff.
  • Support workplace safety inspections, audits, and walkthroughs to help identify potential hazards.
  • Help document and track safety observations, incidents, near‑misses, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with maintaining HSE records, logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Support basic ergonomic assessments of workstations, tools, and tasks.
  • Assist with preparation of safety training materials, presentations, and toolbox talks.
  • Help communicate safety and environmental information to employees (posters, signage, emails).
  • Participate in HSE improvement projects or initiatives.
  • Shadow HSE Coordinator during inspections, investigations, and assessments.
  • Stay engaged with company safety culture and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
  • Self‑motivated, driven, organized, detail oriented, able to multi‑task, prioritize and excel in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, with sensitivity, and discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and take a proactive approach to manage change.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, dynamic, and open office environment.
  • Professional skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and confidentiality are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to support team initiatives.
  • This role is in‑office / onsite, therefore requires reliable transportation to and from the office, Monday through Friday.
