The OpportunityThis opportunity supports the North America Safety Segment in sustainment of the GEP e-procurement platform and its connectivity into Oracle Fusion ERP. The sustainment business team will take responsibility for end-to-end capability and deliver value to end users and team members with a focus on user support, continual improvement, and efficiency.
Position SummaryThe Procurement Operations Leader – North America Life Safety supports the strategic vision and the tactical development of procurement processes within the North America platform footprint. This role will help define and shape a sustainable roadmap for source-to-invoice capabilities supporting the Life Safety business in the region. It collaborates with cross-functional analysts and external stakeholders to develop capabilities aligned with organizational goals and compatible with approved procurement processes and current plus future state technical architecture.
This position prioritizes efficiency and accuracy for end users and reports to the Global Procurement Process + Platform Owner.
The role will support holistic procurement and supply chain design and system functionality, including source-to-contract, spend analytics, purchase requisition to invoice match, supplier onboarding for sustainment, and communication/training execution.
What You Will Do- Process Governance: monitor design and development progress, update the strategic roadmap, ensure compliance with APi standards, collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain transparent documentation, and conduct regular reviews to identify and resolve issues. Track design and development progress against backlog and update the strategic roadmap as needed.
- Optimize procurement processes, inventory, and supply chain functions: achieve business goals, reduce costs, ensure compliance through continuous improvement and adherence to APi Group Central Premise + “One Procurement” aspiration.
- Leading and coaching: support operating company teams and sustainment analysts, contributing to talent development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement; align with the APi Group principle of Building Great Leaders.
- Streamline supplier onboarding and engagement: drive supplier development and connectivity between external and internal stakeholders to maintain price books, catalogs, PO acknowledgment, and invoice matching for downstream efficiency.
- Change and Communications + Release Management: work with OCM and release managers for bi-monthly/monthly updates, internal and external communication, and evangelize best practices and speed of adoption.
- Promote awareness of the platform and processes: champion adoption of the platform and train business leaders on sourcing, procurement, inventory, and new processes via best practices.
- Partner with cross-functional teams: develop training materials and communication plans for diverse learning needs, gather end-user feedback, identify improvements, and drive sustainable process excellence and innovation within procurement.
- BS/BA related to computer science, information technology, business, or other relevant field.
- 5–7 years of experience within procurement.
- 3+ years relevant experience in procurement category management, supplier management, and operational procurement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of procurement systems, processes, and procedures.
- Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
- Influencing, persuasion, and negotiation skills and techniques.
- Proven experience administering problem-solving methodology and executing against prioritized backlog.
