A bit about us

We are a large, multi-entity organization operating across hundreds of locations with a national and international footprint. The business has scaled through growth and complexity, requiring compensation programs that are disciplined, data-driven, and adaptable. Compensation is owned centrally and treated as a strategic function that directly supports business performance, financial outcomes, and leadership decision‑making. While strategy is global, execution is focused in North America, with strong partnership across Finance, HR, and enterprise systems teams.

Why

join us
  • Ownership from day one — you will own vendor relationships, process improvement work streams, and cross‑training responsibilities with room to define how things get done. This is not a support role.
  • Front‑row seat to high‑volume M&A — one of the most active acquisition pipelines in the sector. You'll directly support integrations, giving you M&A exposure few benefits professionals get at this career stage.
  • Small‑team feel, large‑company impact — you'll be one of a small number of benefits professionals stewarding a $75M+ program for 7,000+ employees. Your fingerprints will be on the work.
  • Runway to grow — the team is still being built. A path to a more senior or management‑track role is genuine and near‑term for the right person.
  • Stability meets momentum — publicly traded with strong financials and a growth roadmap to $10B+. A place to build a long‑term career, not just fill a seat.
Operations & Controls
  • Maintain eligibility/deduction integrity across HRIS/Ben Admin platforms; monitor file feeds and exception queues; perform root‑cause analysis and prevention.
  • Produce and reconcile recurring audits, reports, and dashboards (eligibility, billing, grievances, SLA metrics).
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of Annual Enrollment, ensuring accurate materials and smooth implementation.
  • Support Annual Enrollment configuration, UAT, cutover checklists, and post‑go‑live validation in partnership with the Benefits Manager.
Vendor, Contract & Financial Management
  • Assist with plan management and presentations to senior executives, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Lead day‑to‑day vendor management for assigned H&W programs and point solutions; track SLAs/guarantees, corrective actions, and effective plan governance.
  • Own contract and SOW repositories for assigned vendors; coordinate redlines with Legal and ensure alignment to business requirements and data/security standards.
  • Oversee complex invoice reconciliation, credits/adjustments, and accruals; partner with Finance on variance analysis and forecasting inputs.
M&A Support
  • Lead benefits diligence work streams for acquisitions/divestitures (data requests, plan comparisons, cost modeling).
  • Build harmonization and transition plans (eligibility, payroll/feeds, communications, OE timing) and coordinate onboarding with acquired company contacts.
  • Execute change communications in partnership with Communications and local leaders; track stabilization KPIs post‑close.
Compliance & Risk
  • Support ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA/ADA operations; assist with audits, filings, and MHPAEA/TiC/NSA operational requirements.
  • Maintain SOPs, internal controls, and evidence repositories.
Team Member Support
  • Resolve escalated enrollment/coverage issues and complex claims scenarios with precision and care (life, disability, disaster relief, COBRA, leaves).
  • Coach and mentor Benefits Analysts on processes, controls, and service standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive U.S. benefits experience supporting large, multi‑state populations, including vendor management and financial/billing ownership.
  • Health & welfare specialist background — must want to be in this workstream.
  • Strong Excel/BI and HRIS/Ben Admin skills; evidence of building controls, KPIs, and process improvements.
  • Working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA/ADA; experience with filings, audits, and controls.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and project management skills; thrives in a matrixed, fast‑moving environment.
