The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing all Supply Chain department long-term and short-term objectives, to achieve annual goals for improving the supply chain. They will contribute to the organizations success by maintaining a system of risk mitigation across the entire supply chain process related to vendor qualification, selection and purchasing.

  • Manage supply chain activities commencing in the sales and project phase.
  • Provide costs estimates to procurement team.
  • Receive requirements from requisitions and convert them into purchase orders.
  • Monitor delivery of parts and services that have been purchased.
  • Manage the purchase of facility systems, test equipment, tools, raw material, services and supplies necessary for operation of a project
  • Develop long-term and short-term objectives for supply chain ensuring they are aligned with overall company goals and objectives
  • Achieve annual goals for improving the supply chain as assigned by supervisor.
  • Optimize logistics to ensure timely and efficient routes to meet customer satisfaction needs
  • Develop and maintain a system of risk mitigation across the entire supply chain process
  • Optimize Safran Test Cells' international purchasing by cooperating and identifying synergies with Safran Aero Boosters Test Cells purchasing team and other Safran Purchasing entities
  • Ensure cooperation and coordination with major stakeholders, including, Project Management, Finance, Quoting, Engineering, Sales, and Quality
  • Manage the process related to vendor qualification and selection
  • Oversee Supplier contract compliance, relationship management, product schedule and delivery compliance, and communications from the point of PO placement until product acceptance.
  • Maintain a list of approved suppliers and their detailed capabilities.
  • Ensure the development of IT tools to optimize the processes in the Supply Chain Department including development of automated workflow for PO creation and approval.
  • Work with company management to ensure that employees have a safe and functional work environment.
  • Actively participate in a continuous improvement culture providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures.
  • Oversee all inventory process, procedures and maintenance.
  • Oversee and manage delegation of work and project assignments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of proven success managing a Supply Chain organization.
  • Equivalent degree and related experience will be considered.
  • International purchasing and shipping experience.
  • Supplier and Vendor Management experience.
  • Experience in Export/Import compliance including understanding goods classifications are preferred requirements.

  • Results-oriented leader with the ability to lead, influence and inspire diverse teams to meet project goals.
  • Proven ability to cultivate an environment of accountability and creativity and clearly communicate strategy to staff.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written with a proven ability to be assertive yet approachable delivering a positive customer service experience.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; actively seeks opportunities to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are required including the ability to make technical and project information understood by a wide variety of audiences.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to train staff.
  • Familiar with standard corporate purchasing and finance/accounting concepts.
  • Able and willing to travel up to 15% of the time both domestically and internationally, as required.
