Job Overview
As an Operations Supervisor at Pentair in New Brighton, MN, you will lead hourly, non‑professional employees to achieve targeted results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash using accepted business practices and lean methodologies. The position is Monday – Thursday, 2pm – 1am.
Responsibilities- Lead, coordinate, and facilitate the daily operations of the assigned value stream(s).
- Ensure safe, efficient, productive, and economical operation.
- Provide adequate resources, continuous work direction, and problem‑solving to meet business goals under company policies and procedures.
- Increase the ratio of value to non‑value and eliminate waste throughout the supply chain for a defined product family; ensure the value stream meets or exceeds customer requirements.
- Lead day‑to‑day activities within the value stream(s) to achieve current commitments while driving improvements.
- Ensure SQDCC boards are used, metrics are understood by all members, and results are maintained and displayed on time.
- Ensure that standardized work and processes are followed.
- Track daily performance; verify team leader counter‑measures and recovery plans are in place for missed targets.
- At least a bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in a technical, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- 0–2 years of direct supervisory experience (manufacturing preferred).
- Experience planning, directing, and coordinating all manufacturing operations of production, machinery, processing, and packaging departments.
- Ability to understand customer needs in day‑to‑day decisions and to provide feedback or act on changes in customer requirements.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Strong computer skills in MSSuite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Internet).
- Willingness to work extended overtime hours, nights, and weekends to meet production demands.
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full‑time position is $61,200 – $113,600. Compensation is determined by experience, training, education, licensure, certifications, location, and other relevant factors. The position may also be eligible for annual incentive bonuses.
