Division of Institutional Advancement
Central Connecticut State University invites applications to join the Division of Institutional Advancement as a full-time Administrative Assistant. We seek applicants who are highly organized, proactive, and service-oriented professionals with exceptional communication skills, strong technical proficiency, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the CCSU Foundation while coordinating administrative and governance functions that advance the University's philanthropic mission and strengthen engagement with alumni, donors, trustees, and community partners.

Position Profile
The Administrative Assistant provides highly skilled, confidential administrative support to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the CCSU Foundation and serves as the primary administrative support professional for CCSU Foundation operations and governance activities.

* Knowledge of office administration and management.
* Knowledge of business math.
* Demonstrated organizational skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to operate office equipment which includes computers, tablets, and other equipment.
* Ability to operate office suite software.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
* Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Demonstrated ability to meet personally with a variety of people as a representative of the University System.
Applicant Evaluative Criteria
Applicant profiles and supplementary materials will be evaluated for appointment based on the following:
* Five (5) years of experience providing administrative support in a professional office setting.
* Experience maintaining records of expenses and budget tracking.
* Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly and efficient office operation.
* Demonstrated ability of verbal and written communication with proper grammar, punctuation and spelling.
* Demonstrated ability to produce quality typewritten materials using personal computer equipment and software such as office suite.
Ideal Candidate
Preference will be given to applicants with the following:
Preferred qualifications include experience in higher education, budget management and possession of a bachelor's degree or higher.
University education enhances a candidate's professionalism and familiarity with the collegiate academic environment, is desirable.
Experience in higher education, advancement, fundraising, nonprofit administration, foundation operations, or a related field.
Experience providing administrative support to senior executives and supporting boards of directors, trustees, committees, or other governing bodies.
Experience preparing and managing board materials, including agendas, minutes, reports, and governance documentation.
Experience coordinating meetings, events, and special projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Experience working with donors, constituent, or customer relationship management (CRM) databases and maintaining confidential records.

Compensation and Employee Benefits
