PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operating and ground support of various equipment needed in support of milling of roads, highways, and parking lots.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Operating and ground support of various equipment needed in support of milling of roads, highways, and parking lots.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in roadway or site construction and working around or with roadway milling operations.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform all job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to perform work in daytime and nighttime conditions.
  • OSHA 10 certification will be required if hired.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and construction areas as outlined by OSHA and state agencies. Protective equipment that is required for this position:
Hardhat, safety glasses, reinforced toed shoes, hand protection, safety vest/high visibility clothing for any work in the field, and hearing protection.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Continuous: 0 - 10 lbs. Frequently: 10 - 50 lbs. Occasionally: 50 - 100 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates heavy mobile equipment, works outside in varied weather conditions that may be hot and humid, cold and icy, rainy and wet. The noise level in the work environment may be high.
