Project Manager – Affordable Housing Renovations

$150,000 – $170,000 Base Salary + Benefits

Are you an experienced Construction Project Manager looking to join a leading General Contractor delivering high-impact affordable housing renovation projects across Connecticut?

We're partnering with a well-established General Contractor that specializes in the rehabilitation and modernization of affordable housing communities. With a strong pipeline of secured work, they're looking to add an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple residential renovation projects throughout the Greater Hartford area.

The Role

As Project Manager, you'll take ownership of projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring they're delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Projects include:
  • Affordable housing renovations
  • Bathroom renovations
  • Boiler and HVAC replacements
  • Window and door replacements
  • Roofing and exterior improvements
  • Occupied rehabilitation projects
Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple affordable housing renovation projects simultaneously.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractor performance.
  • Lead project meetings with clients, consultants, housing authorities, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate field operations alongside Superintendents to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project costs and forecast financial performance.
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor.
  • Experience managing multifamily, affordable housing, residential renovation, or occupied rehabilitation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
