Job Posting: Assistant Professor of Art History
The Art & Design Department at Central Connecticut State University is seeking an adjunct instructor with experience teaching art history survey courses.
Required Qualifications- Master’s degree in Art History
- PhD in Art History
- Evidence of quality teaching experience. Adjunct faculty typically teach one or two courses per semester in a 3‑hour block that meets twice per week. Classes meet mornings or evenings to permit some flexible scheduling for adjunct courses on ground.
- Teaching Art 110, Art 112, and/or Art 113.
- Developing and managing course syllabi and ensuring that syllabi are up to date.
- Planning and creating lectures, discussions, and course assignments.
- Providing regular and timely feedback to students to promote student success.
- Ability to work with diverse students and colleagues and nurture inclusive classrooms.
- Submitting grades in a timely manner.
