The Department of Computer Electronics and Graphics Technology(CEGT) at Central Connecticut State University seeks to establish apool of qualified applicants for future, part-time appointments asadjunct faculty. The Department of CEGT is diverse in faculty,expertise, and discipline programs. Quality teaching,interdisciplinary collaboration, adjunct faculty, and industry experience are especially valued in CEGT. Existing programs are accredited by ABET and ATMAE, and new programs will pursue nationally and internationally recognized accreditation in thefields.

Courses are taught on campus or in hybrid format and are offered both daytime and evenings. The number of positions variesby semester and depends upon the needs of the department.

Appointments are for one semester, and may be renewable based onneed, funding, and performance.

We are especially interested in practitioners who have professional and teaching expertise in:

  • Computer networking and communications, Cybersecurity
  • Electronics, Electrical & Computer Engineering and Technology, Power engineering
  • Graphics Technology
  • Serious Gaming and Simulations

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in the related fields as specified above
  • Professional experience that is current, substantial in termsof duration and level of responsibility
  • Commitment to serving culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse communities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in the related field as specified above
  • Professional Certification the related field as specified above
  • Strong laboratory hands-on skills, and have an ability to usetechnology effectively in teaching and learning
  • Evidence of quality teaching experience

Candidates must demonstrate appropriate mastery of the subject area; provide students with appropriate learning materials;evaluate students’ performance and provide effective feedback toguide student learning and success; keep samples of students’ workfor accreditation purposes; and contribute to maintaining an inclusive and collaborative environment.
