About CCSU’s Management Information Systems DepartmentThe Management Information Systems (MIS) department prepares students for careers as business-technology professionals to face challenges in a global transformative environment. The field of Information Systems encompasses data analysis, teamwork,leadership, project management, customer service, and underlyingbusiness theories. Technology is an integral part that enablescompany activities, including management and decision-making. Theemphasis of the major is on preparing information specialists insystems, data management, operations, and major business areas.
The program emphasizes the importance of timely and quality information as an organizational resource to be managed to assist organizations with decision making.

Applicant Evaluative CriteriaAll applicants must possess an advanced degree in Management Information Systems or closely related field from an accredited university.

- Ph.D. from an AACSB-accredited school
- Record of successful university teaching
- Evidence of professional/academic service
- Experience in Information Technology, Policy and Informatics
- Programming skills (R, Python, C# or similar)
- Business analytical skills
- Ability to develop and teach interdisciplinary courses, modules, and experiential projects
In accordance with the Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors (AAUP) Collective Bargaining Union Contract, compensation for this position is at the Assistant Professor rank for 2027
