Sales Engineer
As an Application/Sys Sales Engineer II at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of the organization by promoting and selling complex application and system solutions. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide technical expertise, and develop customized solutions that meet their requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to business growth and make a significant impact in the field of application and system sales.
Responsibilities- Assist with the technical application of Sales opportunities
- Position and present information on company product offerings
- Build technical relationships with new or existing customers
- Develop and deliver product presentations and demonstrations
- Develop and deliver technical training to technical support engineers
- Develop and deliver technical application notes and Method of Procedure (MOP)
- Develop SOW (Scope of Work) procedures and documents
- Review engineering technical datasheets, manuals, and application notes for accuracy
- Offer subject expertise at internal and external customer-facing events
- Support the Sales Team by responding to customers’ RFIs with datasheets, manuals, technical data, etc.
- Support the Sales Team by responding to RFQs or RFPs from customers by generating system diagrams and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Perform cross‑departmental communications (liaison) to expedite customer solutions
- Provide weekly updates on special projects
- Handle special assignments to support projects
- Collaborate with Sales to culminate opportunities into a sale and engage in customer‑facing activities
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- 3+ years of experience in sales engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of Fire Alarm experience
- Strong technical background in application and systems engineering
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred)
- Experience in selling complex application and system solutions (preferred)
- Proven track record of success in sales engineering roles (preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills (preferred)
- Innovative and eager to learn (preferred)
- Curiosity and openness to exploring new business opportunities (preferred)
