Duties

The Phlebotomist II is responsible for collecting venous and capillary blood specimens from patients in a safe and accurate manner according to established lab policies and practices; additionally, the role includes maintaining inventory, dispatch scheduling, and Epic registration. Demonstrates H3W behaviors with a focus on excellent patient exceptional patience and quality service and outcomes
.

Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • 1 year phlebotomy experience
  • Knowledge of venipuncture techniques
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
  • Good keyboarding skills with ability to learn various laboratory application and HHC computer systems
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to handle different patient population including difficult patients.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to operate required lab equipment including pneumatic tube
