CMHA is looking to hire a part-time Occupational Therapist (20 hours per week) for the Young Adult Assertive Community Treatment Program. This position will be located at 29 Russell St., New Britain, CT 06051.
Compensation Range: The annual salary range for this position starts at $35,250.
Position Summary: Provides comprehensive assessment of skill levels and daily functioning of Residential and/or Community clients. Collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team to develop treatment plans and programming. Supports clients in attaining skills identified as goals to enable movement to less restrictive levels of care in the community.
Essential Responsibilities- Evaluate patients’ physical, emotional, and social needs through observation and assessment.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to improve patients’ functional abilities.
- Provide therapy to patients recovering from injury, illness, or disability.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Document patient progress and update treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Connecticut.
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
