Attorney

MKCI is a comprehensive civil defense litigation firm with a track record of successfully defending clients in high-stakes cases across various products liability/toxic tort and general liability matters, including claims related to asbestos and talc, premises liability, transportation, public entities, construction defects, labor law, insurance coverage, and environmental issues.

We are seeking an Attorney to join our Hartford, CT office. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development within a supportive and collegial environment.

• Attend/appear on behalf of clients during depositions and court appearances.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery demands/responses.
• Assist in preparation of cases for trial.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and management.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island required.
• 5+ years of insurance defense litigation experience preferred.
• Superior analytical skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong worth ethic and commitment to client service.

Salary commensurate with experience - range $125,000-$175,000.
