Russ Hadick & Associates is working with a growing aerospace manufacturer that machines and fabricates complex components for leading OEMs across commercial, defense, and general aviation markets. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Production Planner who enjoys being close to the shop floor, solving daily challenges, and playing a critical role in keeping manufacturing on track.

The Production Planner / Expeditor is responsible for managing production schedules within an ERP/MRP system while actively expediting work through manufacturing to meet customer delivery commitments. This role requires close coordination with production, purchasing, and customer-facing teams to ensure material availability, realistic schedules, and on-time performance.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment where priorities can shift quickly.

• Create and maintain production schedules to support customer delivery requirements
• Develop and manage shop schedules by creating and maintaining work orders
• Review work order action reports and ensure due dates align with capacity and resource availability
• Evaluate schedule feasibility and adjust based on labor, equipment, and material constraints
• Issue material requisitions and coordinate closely with purchasing
• Manage product lines against changing monthly forecasts while balancing inventory levels
• Create and maintain weekly production timetables and manufacturing plans
• Coordinate workflow across one or multiple products to maximize efficiency and minimize delays
• Participate in daily production meetings to track performance and identify at-risk work orders
• Actively expedite work with production teams to recover schedules when issues arise
• Support customer service with new or expedited customer requests within standard lead times
• Maintain and update customer promise dates in the customer portal system

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
• Minimum of 2 years of production planning experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
• 2–5 years of experience working in a manufacturing setting using ERP/MRP systems
• Experience with Epicor is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills
