Position Overview:As a Commissary Clerk – Popcorn Production you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the production of popcorn within the commissary which is the centralized kitchen that prepares and distributes food to various locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Producing popcorn for the appropriate customer list provided
- Operating the popper for popcorn production (e.g. Butter, Sea Salt, Kettle and Cheddar)
- Refilling kettles with the appropriate raw materials based on product recipes
- Monitoring kettle pot for proper temperature, timing and operation
- Following specific instructions and procedures based on the different popcorn varieties
- Monitoring the quality of finished products to ensure it meets company standards
- Recording production output, raw materials used and other data in logs/spreadsheets
- Operating a scale to ensure all packaged products meet weight specifications
- Packaging and labeling popcorn products appropriately for store location, print labels and place in bags for other stores
- Staging finished goods for shipment or storae
- Notifying the Store Manager when ingredients or materials are low stock
- Adhering to all food safety and sanitation requirements by company and local health departments
- Assisting the bakery department when popcorn production needs are fulfilled – tasks include but are not limited to packing products etc
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Communicating important information regarding orders, inventory and any other issues with the right leadership or parties
- Adhere to all company safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
- Must be able to work in various temperatures
- Must have a flexible schedule to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Part- time 25 hours a week.
- Preferred:
Zero - One (0-1) year kitchen experience or relevant experience - Serve Safe certification or comparable
- Physical abilities :
May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head;
Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; walking on a variety of flooring such as concrete, tile, carpet etc - Strong communication
Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis - Organizational
Skills:
Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines - Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality
