About the Role

The Manufacturing Cost Analyst will play a key role in analyzing, benchmarking, and optimizing manufacturing costs across multiple production lines. This position partners closely with Production, Engineering, Finance/Controlling, and global manufacturing teams to improve cost transparency, identify cost drivers, and execute cost-reduction initiatives while supporting long-term operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Cost Analysis
  • Analyze monthly production cost reports and identify cost variances and root causes.
  • Develop corrective action plans to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Benchmark fabrication and assembly costs against global lead plants.
  • Establish cost-per-hour targets and drive continuous cost improvement initiatives.
  • Review manufacturing overhead (MOH) calculations and summarize key cost drivers, risks, and opportunities.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Lead monthly production cost review meetings with global manufacturing teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional discussions to drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Support cost investigations through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Present monthly and quarterly cost performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Support localization and manufacturing improvement projects through financial and cost analysis.
  • Prepare business cases and evaluate project financial impact.
  • Manage multiple cost-saving and process improvement projects simultaneously.
  • Develop project plans, monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration (Operations), or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Manufacturing Cost Engineering, Production Engineering, Process Improvement, or Manufacturing Analysis.
  • Experience working within manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    Manufacturing cost analysis, Cost benchmarking, Variance analysis, & Manufacturing KPIs
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query).
  • Experience with SAP and Power BI is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work on the shop floor and travel occasionally.
