CNC Programmer | Mastercam | Multi-Axis Machining | Bloomfield, CT
Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their precision manufacturing team in Bloomfield, CT
. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong expertise in CNC programming, CAD/CAM software, and multi-axis machining. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing machining processes, improving production efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for mills and multi-axis machining centers.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting strategies, feeds, speeds, and machine parameters.
- Set up, test, and validate new CNC programs on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements to increase productivity and quality.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, machining, and production teams to ensure efficient manufacturing.
- Maintain accurate program documentation, revisions, and process records.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Technical degree or certification preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency with Mastercam, Creo, Windchill, Vericut
, or similar CAD/CAM software. - Excellent understanding of G-Code and M-Code programming
. - Experience programming multi-axis CNC machines is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Knowledge of machining various materials including metals, plastics, and alloys.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
