J H Metal Finishing is looking for a motivated and hardworking Factory General Help team member to join our production floor in New Britain, CT. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of a hands‑on manufacturing environment and build a lasting career in metal finishing. Responsibilities- Assist with general production tasks on the factory floor to support daily manufacturing operations.
- Load and unload parts and materials for metal finishing processes.
- Support finishing technicians with plating, coating, or surface treatment operations.
- Inspect finished parts for quality and ensure they meet production standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Move materials and finished goods throughout the facility using proper handling techniques.
- Follow supervisor instructions and contribute to a team-oriented production environment.
- Prior manufacturing, factory, or warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to chemicals and machinery.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to showing up and contributing every shift.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Strong work ethic with a team‑first attitude.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
