About This Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) in Critical Care is a Registered Nurse responsible for supervising patient care, clinical personnel, and unit operations. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking to lead and enhance patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.
Highlights- Location: New Britain, CT
- Facility: The Hospital of Central Connecticut
- Department/Unit: 91005-Critical Care
- Schedule: Full Time, Night shift
- Supervise patient care and clinical personnel in the critical care unit.
- Oversee daily operations of the assigned department, including off-shift and weekend supervision.
- Manage resources, quality improvement, and payroll.
- Create and maintain colleague schedules.
- Monitor patient throughput to facilitate efficient clinical operations.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic unit environment, working as a staff RN as needed.
- Support leadership in fostering standards of excellence and professional development.
- Participate in and may lead Performance Improvement work in the department.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; existing incumbents must obtain BSN within 3 years.
Experience:
- 2 years of acute care nursing experience required.
- 5 years of Critical Care experience required; management roles preferred.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience required.
Licenses &
Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of CT.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Other certifications may be required by specialty.
