About This Role
The RN Oncology Practice role at Hartford Health Care involves providing holistic, quality nursing care for patients and families within the Medical Oncology Practice. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about delivering coordinated cancer care and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Highlights- Location: New Britain, CT
- Facility: Hartford Health Care Cancer Institute
- Department/Unit: 91005-Oncology Practice Center
- Schedule: Full Time, Day shift
- Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up.
- Schedule patients for treatments and triage patient phone calls.
- Manage a caseload of patients receiving a variety of infusion therapies on an outpatient basis.
- Collaborate with referring physician offices to coordinate one-time or ongoing therapies.
- Multi-task efficiently while providing the safest, highest quality care.
- Participate in the implementation of clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum.
- Engage in and align with the HHC Cancer Institute at the local, regional, and system level.
BSN strongly preferred.
ExperienceTwo (2) years of previous oncology nursing experience strongly preferred.
Licenses & Certifications- Current Connecticut RN License
- BLS required at time of hire
- OCN preferred
