The Nurse Practitioner Obstetric Services will practice within a comprehensive Obstetric Services department that also encompasses Maternal Child Health, Labor and Delivery, and Gynecology. This department operates within a 150+ bed acute care facility in central Connecticut. Key selling points include its top-ranking safety record, including being the #1 hospital in the state for preventing hospital-acquired infections. It is the only adult acute care facility in the County to hold Magnet designated status.

The Nurse Practitioner Maternal Child Health provider will care for patients across the perinatal continuum, collaborating with experienced clinicians in a setting that prioritizes maternal safety, newborn wellness, and family-centered care.

Reporting to nursing and medical leadership within Obstetric Services, the Nurse Practitioner Obstetric Services will work alongside board-certified obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, neonatology consultants, and a team of friendly, highly skilled nurses. The Nurse Practitioner Maternal Child Health role includes comprehensive assessments, labor support, postpartum management, gynecologic evaluation, patient education, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. This advanced practice provider will be supported by integrated case management, pharmacy, social work, and lactation services, ensuring a collaborative and diverse healthcare professional team focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for mothers and newborns.
