Substitute Registered Nurse (RN)

The Consolidated School District of New Britain is currently seeking applications for substitute school nurses. We prefer candidates with experience in pediatrics, emergency medicine/triage, or public health nursing. Successful applicants should be comfortable working independently and adept at multitasking in a fast-paced setting.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, uninterrupted State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to function autonomously.
• Excellent assessment and communication skills, with experience documenting in electronic medical records.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Proficient in adapting nursing principles and teaching techniques for various pediatric age groups.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
