Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Lab - Electrophysiology

About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Lab - Electrophysiology provides expert care to patients undergoing advanced procedures for heart rhythm disorders. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in collaborative environments and are focused on patient-centered care.

• Location: New Britain, CT
• Facility: The Hospital of Central Connecticut
• Schedule: Full Time, Day shift

• Utilize evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Develop a plan of care to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and families.
• Provide expert care during electrophysiology procedures, including patient assessment and preparation.
• Monitor hemodynamic and rhythm during procedures.
• Perform sterile procedural scrubbing and provide circulating support during complex ablations.
• Assist with cardiac device implants such as pacemakers and defibrillators.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety and procedural excellence.

Education:

• Current Connecticut RN license (BSN preferred)

Experience:

• 2-3 years nursing experience preferred
• 2 years’ experience in critical care, emergency, or equivalent experience preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
