The Registered Nurse Acute (RN) in the Family Birthing Center provides comprehensive nursing care to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about maternal and newborn care.

  PRN, Evening shift

• Develop a plan of care for complex, multi-varianced populations of patients.
• Utilize evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
• Address the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and families.

• Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
• Experience:
  • One year of experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed registered nurse.
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse, State of CT.
  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
