Job Description
Russ Hadick & Associates, Inc., a 40+ year professional search and recruiting firm, has partnered with a client in the Greater Hartford, CT area to help them search and qualify candidates for their Quality Control Inspector Lead / Supervisor position within aerospace manufacturing.
This is a newly created position driven by continued growth and increased production demand. The company is looking to move quickly on the right candidate.
Quality Inspection & Leadership- Perform final, in-process, and first article inspections on precision-machined components
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements
- Utilize inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and comparators
- Support manufacturing during production to ensure quality standards are met
- Lead and provide direction to inspection personnel
- Complete and maintain inspection reports and documentation
- Identify and document nonconformances and defects
Experience – Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality inspection within a precision manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of inspection methods, measuring equipment, and blueprint reading required. Experience in aerospace or other regulated industries preferred.
Technical Skills
– Experience with
CMM (manual and/or DCC), first article inspection, and in-process/final inspections. Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100 is a plus.
Education – High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or certifications in quality or inspection are a plus.
