Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm

Pay: $24.00/hr (paid weekly)

Are you passionate about helping students build independence and transition into adulthood and the workforce? If so, join our team as a School to Work Counselor and play a meaningful role in supporting students of all abilities as they develop confidence, life skills, and job readiness.

  • Represent CW's mission and values through compassionate, professional, and student-centered support.
  • Coordinate and deliver transition services by facilitating intakes, developing individualized service plans, and identifying meaningful opportunities aligned with each student's goals.
  • Provide engaging life skills instruction, orientation, and job training that prepares students for workplace expectations and community involvement.
  • Monitor student progress, address challenges, and provide consistent encouragement to foster independence and confidence.
  • Partner with employers and internal teams to connect students with community-based work experiences.
  • Collaborate with families, school personnel, and agency partners to ensure a supportive, well-rounded approach to student success.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including service records, progress reports, and billing information.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing ideas, participating in training, and continuously improving service delivery.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, human services, rehabilitation, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities —ideally youth or young adults transitioning to adult services.
  • Knowledge of vocational training, job coaching, and employment support services, along with basic data tracking and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and a valid driver's license.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Valid Real .

Skills:

  • Experience with assistive technology, career readiness programs, and workplace skill development.
  • Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and person-centered transition planning practices.
  • An understanding of local workforce trends and community resources that support youth employment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others and build positive relationships.
  • Ability to solve problems, adapt to changes, and support others with patience, empathy, and respect.
