Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Revenue Accountant in Camden County, NJ (Hybrid) with our client. You will oversee revenue recognition, reconciliations, and month‑end close in alignment with U.S. GAAP and SOX standards while driving process improvements and ensuring reporting accuracy. This role is ideal for accounting professionals with SAP and Excel expertise and experience in project‑based or construction accounting.
Responsibilities as the Senior Revenue Accountant- Month‑End Close:
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses to ensure timely and accurate financial results. - Revenue Recognition:
Validate data across systems and ensure compliance with GAAP and percentage‑of‑completion standards. - Audit & Compliance:
Support internal and external audits, maintaining adherence to SOX and internal control requirements. - Process Improvement:
Streamline accounting processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and documentation. - Systems Integration:
Assist with SAP implementation and automation initiatives to improve reporting accuracy. - Collaboration:
Partner with finance, operations, and management teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure transparency.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA strongly preferred). - Experience:
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or the project‑based construction industry. - Technical
Skills:
Advanced Excel proficiency with SAP experience and working knowledge of accounting systems such as Comsense, Quick Base, and Quick Books. - Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of revenue recognition (ASC 606), percentage‑of‑completion accounting, U.S. GAAP, and SOX compliance. - Skills & Attributes:
Motivated, organized, and analytical professional with strong documentation and process improvement skills, adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
