Overview

University Enrollment Services is a centralized administrative unit responsible for the back‑end processing and operational support of key enrollment functions, including Admissions, Financial Aid, and the Office of the Registrar. While not a student‑facing department, our work is essential to ensuring integrity, efficiency, and consistency of enrollment‑related processes across the institution. Through collaborative partnerships with campus departments and a commitment to operational excellence, University Enrollment Services plays a critical role in maintaining the infrastructure that supports a smooth and effective student enrollment experience.

Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Compliance Coordinator for Financial Aid – a division of University Enrollment Services. This position reports to the Associate University Director of University Enrollment Services – Compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Manages and analyzes data, communicating processing issues to the Associate Director.
  • Supports the development of policy and procedures for UES for federal, state and institutional programs in compliance with existing regulations.
  • Supports the on‑going review of the financial aid website and any other material prepared for public use.
  • Participates in the management of internal/external audits and program reviews performed by external and internal entities.
  • Performs audits of targeted areas of the financial aid department to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, in coordination with AUDUESC.
  • Performs full audits semi‑annually as well as targeted reviews sporadically to monitor, detect, prevent, and correct noncompliance with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Processes athletic aid adjustments and R2T4 calculations as necessary, including all student populations besides Athletics.
  • Works with the understanding of and maintenance of university data processing systems, specifically the Oracle Student Financial Planning System (OSFP) and Image Now.
  • Works closely with the AUDUESC to manage workflow and assist with special projects.
  • Acts as the liaison with various departments/offices, including SAR, Veteran's Services, EOF, Study Abroad and other departments, in conjunction with the AUDUESC.
  • Works closely with the Office of Institutional Research and OIT on the production of all published institutional enrollment reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Salary: $68,278.48
Mid Range Salary: $84,393.98

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • At least two (2) years working experience in a related financial aid environment at a major institution of Higher Education with specifics to the Compliance sector.
