Job Description:The Part-Time Junior Administrative Assistant / Mailroom Clerk will primarily be responsible for managing incoming company mail and providing general administrative support. The position will also assist with occasional shipping, filing, scanning, and document-related projects, as well as supporting a short-term office clearance project.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect, open, sort, scan, and distribute incoming company mail
- Ensure time-sensitive correspondence is routed to the appropriate individuals or departments
- Receive and organize occasional equipment and supply shipments
- Assist with filing, scanning, shredding, and general administrative tasks
- Prepare and package boxes for shipment to an off-site storage location
- Handle and organize filing and storage boxes as needed
- Provide on-site support during an office clearance project, including several full days of coverage
- Follow established security, confidentiality, and compliance procedures
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and ask questions when clarification is needed
- Maintain an organized and professional work environment
- At least 1 year of administrative, mailroom, office services, or related experience
- Previous experience managing company mail strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently with limited supervision
- Professional, dependable, and reliable
- Comfortable lifting and moving filing or storage boxes
- Able to follow detailed procedures related to security and confidentiality
- Flexible and available to work full days when needed for special projects
- Comfortable using basic office technology and completing online training
- The position is expected to begin in early October. The selected candidate will complete approximately 1–2 days of required internal training before transitioning into the role independently.
