Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Business Assistant I for The Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research.
- Provides administrative and operational support for the Institute for Health (IFH).
- Coordinates financial, procurement, travel, HR, and office-related processes.
- Ensures timely processing of payments and reconciliations.
- Tracks requests through completion.
- Serves as a resource for faculty, staff, and vendors by providing guidance on university procedures and transaction requirements.

QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles and practices and a minimum of two years' experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with Marketplace and Oracle systems as well as People Soft.
- Excellent communication skills, and computer literacy.
- Familiarity with sponsored project accounting and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a higher education environment.
- An in-depth understanding of the current Rutgers University Systems.
- Knowledge of MARKETPLACE and Microsoft excel.
