Position Summary:
We are seeking a Local Contracting Team Member for Contracting Services. This role involves understanding and documenting the contract execution process, from receipt of the contract request to supplier signature. The individual will interface with internal and external business partners at a detailed level for specific countries and operating companies. Key responsibilities include executing due diligence activities, assessing process documentation, performing fit-gap analysis, ensuring compliance with company policies, and developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
The role also supports the harmonization of contract clauses and templates, assists in launching new contracting technology, and ensures local requirements are met while aligning with global processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand and document the local contract execution process, including contract type selection, harmonization, and escalation.
- Identify country-specific requirements and regulations to meet local needs.
- Participate in decision-making exercises, manage a high volume of complex business matters, and provide escalation support.
- Understand and support contract preparation, review, and negotiation processes.
- Collaborate with Contract Attorneys, Procurement, Finance, and other support teams.
- Establish, maintain, and train on contract review, approval processes, and internal audit requirements.
- Identify solutions to resolve long cycle times and policy deviations.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork, relationship management, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, navigate ambiguity, and gather necessary information persistently.
- Maintain detailed documentation, ask questions, challenge existing processes, and identify unstated requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum education:
BS degree or Paralegal certification; or 9 years of related business experience if without a bachelor's degree. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
PowerPoint skills preferred. - At least 5 years of related experience.
