Division Chief, Pediatric Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Disease
Role:
Division of Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Diseases at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, NJ. The Division provides inpatient and outpatient care for children, runs a State‑funded HIV program, and offers rich teaching across medical students, residents, and fellows.
The Division is seeking an experienced physician with proven leadership skills and academic accomplishments to serve as Division Chief. The successful candidate will lead clinical services, research, and education, helping to expand the division’s impact and maintain high standards of patient care and scholarship.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership for clinical, research, and educational missions of the Division.
- Oversee inpatient consultations at Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital and outpatient services at the Children’s Health Institute of New Jersey, Somerset, Eatontown, and East Brunswick.
- Develop and maintain faculty and staff development plans, including performance evaluation.
- Champion clinical quality initiatives, accreditation, and patient safety.
- Represent the Division in faculty governance and partnership activities across Rutgers.
- Advise on resource allocation and budget management.
- Promote a culture of academic excellence and support multidisciplinary research.
- MD/DO, board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
- Board certified in Pediatric Allergy, Immunology (or equivalent).
- Academic achievements consistent with appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a complex academic department or division.
- Strong record of teaching, mentoring, and scholarly activity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary: $246,308 (Professor). Salary may vary based on qualifications, experience, supply of funds, and market benchmarks.
