Recruitment/Posting Title Assistant Professor in Sociocultural Anthropology, Tenure-Track Department Anthropology Salary Details The academic year salary for an assistant professor will not be less than $82,110, based on the most recent collective bargaining agreement between the faculty union (AAUP-AFT) and Rutgers University. Posting Summary

The Department of Anthropology seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in sociocultural anthropology, with a particular emphasis on the dynamic intersections of Language, Culture, and Power. The successful candidate will teach core courses in linguistic anthropology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and develop new courses that address the relationships between language and power. Preference will be given to scholars whose expertise bridges language, ethnography, and other research areas, crossing subfields within sociocultural anthropology.
