Student Assistant; Student Ambassador

Position Summary

Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Student Assistant (Student Ambassador) to work in the Office of Enrollment Management. The Office of Enrollment Management is looking for students who are motivated, engaged, and willing to showcase the institution positively by serving as an Enrollment Management (EM) Student Ambassador. This program seeks students who are leaders both in and out of the classroom.

Student Ambassadors promote a sense of community for students enrolled at the Rutgers School of Health Professions and serve as positive role models for both current and prospective students.

• Calling prospective students.
• Conducting scheduled campus tours for prospective students and their families.
• Assisting admissions staff with various secretarial/administrative assignments.
• Assisting with open houses, and any other events hosted or co-hosted by the Admissions Office.
• Greeting and providing directions, general information and assistance to visitors, students and staff.
• Maintaining and assisting with the tracking of admissions inventory.
• Assisting with updating EM Student Ambassador Social Media (Twitter, FB, Instagram) regularly.
• Answering questions and referring questions to appropriate admissions counselors or departments.

• EM Student Ambassadors are expected to be enrolled full-time in a SHP academic program.
• EM Student Ambassadors are required to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5.
