Special Education Teacher - New Brunswick, NJ

This full-time contract role for the 2026/2027 school year is designed for educators passionate about creating inclusive learning environments and providing individualized support to learners on the Autism Spectrum.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Valid New Jersey Teaching License with Students with Disabilities endorsement
• Previous experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of elementary-level curriculum and differentiated instruction strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with multidisciplinary teams
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability in addressing diverse behavioral and learning needs

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering instruction and interventions tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
• Creating a welcoming and structured environment to support social, emotional, and academic growth
• Collaborating with paraprofessionals, support staff, and fellow educators to implement behavior and learning strategies
• Tracking student progress, documenting observations, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
• Communicating regularly with families and participating in IEP meetings to share goals and celebrate successes

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.97 to $50.97.
