Lecturer, Learning & Teaching Overview

The Graduate School of Education (GSE) at Rutgers University invites applications for a part‑time Lecturer in Learning & Teaching for the 2026 Fall semester (September 1 – December 22). The position will involve teaching undergraduate or graduate level courses in one or more of the following content areas:
Math, Science, Literacy/English, Social Studies, Technology, Elementary Education, Language Education, Adult and Continuing Education, and Foundation areas.

• Instruct courses in person, hybrid, or online modalities.
• Develop and submit syllabi, lesson plans, and course materials.
• Answer student emails and guide students throughout the term.
• Assess student work and submit final grades per contract.
• Attend orientations and complete required paperwork.

• Master’s degree required; doctoral degree preferred.
• Teaching experience in higher education preferred; experience teaching adult learners is a plus.
• Comfort with online and blended teaching environments.

Salary is calculated at a minimum of $2,777 per credit. Benefits include:
