Graduate School of Education, Rutgers University invites applications for a part‑time lecturer position (former Part Time Lecturers) in the Department of Educational Theory, Policy & Administration for the Fall 2026 Semester (Sep 1 2026 – Dec 22 2026).

Successful candidates will instruct undergraduate or graduate level courses in social and philosophical foundations of education, educational policy, social studies education, and/or educational leadership. Courses may include history of education, philosophy of education, gender in education, race, ethnicity and inequality, urban education, sociology of education, public school finance, policy analysis, school leadership, and queer issues in schools, among others. Instruction will be delivered in a range of modalities, including hybrid and online formats, synchronous and asynchronous instruction.

Instructors are expected to attend orientation, prepare and submit syllabi, respond to student emails, and submit grades in accordance with contract requirements.

• Master’s degree required, doctoral degree preferred.
• Current experience working in a P‑12 educational setting preferred.
• Evidence of effective teaching at the college level or comparable experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and curriculum development skills.

Minimum pay: $2,777 per credit. Final offer may depend on qualifications, experience and availability of department or grant funds.
