A minimum of $2,777 per credit. Minimum salary for a 3-credit course is $8,331 ($2,777 per credit).

The School of Arts and Sciences, Department of Sociology seeks instructors to teach undergraduate courses in the Criminal Justice Program. Specific courses to be taught will be determined by the department each semester. Courses may be introductory surveys or upper-level courses focused on specific themes or topics.
ResponsibilitiesAs the instructor of record, the individual is responsible for preparing the course syllabus, delivering lectures, leading discussions, assessing student work in a timely manner, holding weekly office hours, responding to student emails, and submitting final course grades to the registrar. The instructor must be willing to teach in person. The department will assign courses each semester.
QualificationsMaster's degree in Sociology or a related field required;
Ph.D. preferred. Prior teaching experience strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prior teaching experience and evidence of teaching effectiveness are required. Responsiveness to institutional and instructional deadlines and ability to teach a variety of existing criminal justice course offerings is highly desired.
