Responsibilities: The Philosophy Department at Rutgers University, The State University of New Jersey, located in New Brunswick, NJ, invites applications for the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship. This two-year appointment will begin on September 1, 2027. Responsibilities include teaching two courses in the first year and one course in the second year. The position will have an academic year salary of $76,000, along with an annual research account of $2,500.

Areas of specialization and competence are open. We seek a philosopher of exceptional promise who will contribute to the excellence of our department.

Education and Experience:

Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in philosophy between September 1, 2022 and June 30, 2027. Recipients of the Ph.D. from Rutgers are not eligible.
