Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform daily observations of construction/project sites in New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania, ensuring compliance with building standards and project specifications.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Prepare detailed reports on findings, observations, and test results.
• Conduct geotechnical construction observation and nuclear density testing as a soils technician.
• Observe asphalt pavement construction, perform nuclear density testing, and conduct asphalt plant laboratory testing as an asphalt technician.
• Test concrete for slump, air, unit weight, temperature, and fabricate test cylinders and beams according to ASTM standards.
• Follow our Corporate Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Work some weekends and occasional overtime as needed.
• Document, prepare, and submit observation data, time, and expense reports using a smartphone or tablet.
• Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Complete background and motor vehicle record checks successfully.
• Adhere to Construction Site Safety rules and practices.

Technical Requirements:

Candidates must hold active licenses or credentials such as:

• NICET Level I or II in Soils or equivalent
• ICC Soils Special Inspector
• ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
• ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
• NJDCA Special Inspector License (Reinforced Concrete)
• Nuclear Density Gauge Safety Training
