Enquyst Technologies is a rapidly growing, early-stage biotech company that is focused on developing innovative, pathbreaking bioprocess and analytical technologies to significantly improve the process of biological drug development and dramatically reduce the costs of their manufacturing.
We are searching for a qualified, highly motivated technician to join our team on the ground floor to manufacture and test novel biopharma processing equipment. This position reports directly to the Senior Mechanical Engineer.
This role will be focused on small quantity manufacturing, testing fixtures, and certification procedures for the next generation of high-throughput processing and purification equipment. Best practices, process and facility planning, and problem solving will be critical to success.
Primary Responsibilities- Work with management to execute production fulfillment of the company’s purification equipment products.
- Calibration of sensors and electronic equipment for proper machine operation
- Fabricate, assembly, and perform testing on validation fixtures to support R&D process.
- Clearly communicate design and assembly issues, troubleshooting ideas, and observations to engineering design team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of NJBCI facility.
- Develop effective working relationships with a cross‑functional engineering team.
- Maintain a safety‑first approach.
- Other duties as required
Technical Engineering Associates degree or higher with 5+ years of relevant hands‑on manufacturing and assembly experience.
Required Skills- Hands‑on mechanical and bench testing skills and ability to perform equipment assembly, testing, and troubleshooting without supervision.
- Experience with reading mechanical drawings, tolerance stack‑ups, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- General knowledge of mechanical and electrical, and controls engineering disciplines.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Solid Works CAD
- Rapid prototyping experience
- General knowledge of controls engineering.
