Position Summary

We are seeking to hire an experienced Lead Energy Engineer in our Woodbridge, N.J. office, with 5+ years' experience in the energy sector, strong technical competency, and the ability to lead projects from auditing through implementation.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead and execute ASHRAE Level I-III energy audits.
  • Conduct onsite inspections, data collection and measurement and verification.
  • Develop detailed engineering analyses and ECM calculations.
  • Provide design support and review technical drawings.
  • Coordinate project activities with clients and contractors.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals and documentation.
  • Mentor junior engineers for growth and development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in relevant engineering field.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and controls systems and energy codes.
  • Must reside in New Jersey.
  • Valid New Jersey Driver's License is required.
  • PE desired or in progress.
Physical Abilities
  • Occasionally required to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; use hands to finger, grasp, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; push or pull; talk and hear; use repetitive motions.
  • Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Must have visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading and visual inspections of site plans.
