A wealth management office is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This newly created role will support accounting, financial operations and tax activities for a range of different entities and investments across private equity, real estate, hedge funds, and other vehicles. Reporting to the Controller and partnering closely with the accounting team, this position will handle day-to-day entity accounting and assist with year-end tax prep, including 1065s for pass-through entities and individual returns.

The company has an in-office work schedule with flexibility to work remotely on an as needed basis. The role offers long-term growth as part of an actively expanding office.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Compile and organize documentation for tax filings, coordinating with external tax advisors as needed.
• Monitor and reconcile investment accounts, ensuring proper allocation of income, gains, and expenses.
• Assist in creating and maintaining budgets for family operations, trusts, and foundations.
• Manage payment processing, expense reimbursements, and invoicing for family-related entities and investments.
• Handle sensitive financial information with a high degree of discretion and professionalism.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a boutique/midsize CPA firm or family office
• Fundamental knowledge of both accounting and tax concepts, ideally with exposure to various types of business entities and/or investments
• Proficient in Quickbooks with strong working knowledge of Excel and/or other comparable platforms
• Exceptional communicator with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

Salary: $90-$115K base salary + discretionary bonus, health benefits (medical/dental), 401k, and other perks.
